Oman Air Strikes to New Terminal at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz Worldwide Airport

Oman Air has moved to the brand new Terminal 1 at King Abdulaziz Worldwide Airport, signaling the airline’s ongoing dedication to scheduled passenger service linking Muscat and Jeddah. The transition was marked by an official ceremony attended by His Excellency the Consul Common of Oman Mr. Mubarak AlHanai together with a variety of Omani and Saudi officers on 29 January 2022, and coincided with the arrival of Oman Air flight WY1675 which was welcomed with a conventional water salute. Passengers disembarking the flight had been offered flowers whereas the flight’s crew had their photograph taken with His Excellency throughout an Oman Air-themed cake chopping.

Hamad Al Harthi, Oman Air Senior Supervisor of Gross sales (GCC, Center East & Africa), stated, “We’re delighted that our flights will now arrive and depart from the brand new Terminal 1 in Jeddah, which gives passengers a seamless journey expertise in a very state-of-the-art facility. Oman Air has a long-standing presence in Jeddah and this transition displays our renewing of that presence as we stay up for rising our flight frequencies within the years forward.”

Initially launched in December 1998, direct huge physique flights between Muscat and Jeddah have proved widespread with passengers. Previous to the pandemic, Oman Air operated 4 each day flights between the 2 cities, a schedule that has since been scaled again to 5 weekly flights following decreased demand for journey ensuing from COVID-19 restrictions in place all over the world.
